Marilyn J. Stein, a native Denverite and lifelong resident, passed away Nov. 29, 2014, in Denver. Rabbi Steven Foster officiated at the Dec. 4 graveside service at Mt. Nebo Cemetery. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.
Miss Stein was born May 26, 1933, in Denver.
A graduate of East High, she received her teaching degree at DU.
Miss Stein was a kindergarten teacher for the Englewood School District and DPS.
She was active in the Denver Athletic Club, Denver Art Museum, Denver Botanic Gardens, Colorado Historical Society, the Denver Museum of Nature and Science and the Denver Zoological Foundation.
She also belonged to the Denver Public Schools Retired Employees Assn.
Miss Stein, who had no surviving family, will be mourned by her dear friend Dr. Vance Bray.
