Margaret Levitt

Denver native Margaret Levitt died on Feb. 19, 2023, one day and one month shy of her 99th birthday. A service was held on Feb. 21 at Fairmount Cemetery, officiated by Rabbi Steven Kaye. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.

Born on March 20, 1924, Mrs. Levitt (nee Bronstine) graduated from East High School and attended DU. She married Michael Levy in 1946; they were married until Mr. Levy’s passing in 1960.

“She was a strong matriarch and guiding light of the family,” her family said. “She enjoyed spending time and making memories with her family.

“She had a very sharp and active mind and enjoyed the arts, creating pottery, music, travel, politics and playing bridge and Mah Jongg with her many friends.”

Survivors are son Barry Levy, daughter Linda (Robert) Lynch; grandchildren Michael (Karen Ritchie) Kark, Sean Kark and Tori (Lev) Cohen; and great grandchildren Adam, Dylan and Zoe Kark, and Mia Ruth and Ava Rae Cohen.
