Lynda Goldstein

Lynda M. Goldstein passed away April 10, 2020, in Denver after a short illness. A celebration of life service will be scheduled later this year.

“Lynda will be remembered for her generous spirit and exemplary leadership, with a keen interest in social justice. She dedicated herself to making the world a better place.”

Mrs. Goldstein was born Oct. 17, 1942, in Washington, DC, to the late Dr. Herman Mallinoff and Dora Sahm Mallinoff. She spent her childhood in Washington with her brother Dr. Stuart Mallinoff, who predeceased her.

Shortly after graduating Tufts University, she married Richard C. Goldstein. After living in Hanover, NH, and Columbus, Ind., they moved to Denver in 1967.

Mr. Goldstein predeceased his wife.

Mrs. Goldstein, a member of Temple Sinai, was the founder and president of the LMG Family Foundations and founder and president of the Jewish Women’s Fund of Colorado.

She was active at the Harvard University Divinity School, including its women’s studies in religion program.

Mrs. Goldstein was the director or trustee for the ADL, Jewish Women’s Archive, the Girls Athletic Leadership School and the Hadassah Foundation.

Lynda Goldstein is survived by her children Julie Ann Goldstein of Boulder, Jeffrey Sahm Goldstein of Bow Mar, Colo., and Leah Goldstein Mosimann of Amherst, Mass.; and her five grandchildren Jared, Ezra, Lily/Ash, Ava and Ariana.
