Lillie Katz

Lillie KatzLillie Katz, a native Denverite and lifelong resident, passed away Aug. 9, 2015, in Denver. Rabbi Steven Kaye officiated at the Aug. 12 graveside service at Rose Hill Cemetery. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.

“”Mom loved helping others,”” her children said.

Mrs. Katz was born May 24, 1918, in Denver. She graduated from North High School.

She married Raymond Katz on Aug. 25, 1940. Mr. Katz passed away on Sept. 26, 2004.

Mrs. Katz was a homemaker.

A past president and life member of Hadassah, she was very involved in planting trees for Israel.

Mrs. Katz bowled with the B’nai B’rith bowling league, which gave her a first-place honor in 1954. Another league voted her most improved bowler.

She also volunteered at a battered women’’s shelter.

Mrs. Katz is survived by her children Phyllis Katz of Denver, Robert (Lena) Katz of Centennial and Andrew Katz of Denver; and grandson Michael Lee (Val) Katz.
