Les Saffil, a native of Denver, passed away June 13 in Los Angeles, Calif. A memorial service is pending in Los Angeles.
He was a loving husband and doting father, grandfather, brother and uncle, the family said. A good friend to everyone, he will be sorely missed.
Mr. Saffil was born Aug. 12, 1933, in Denver.
A graduate of East High School, he earned an accounting degree from DU.
He moved to Los Angeles in his 20s.
Mr. Saffil married his wife Sonia in 1968.
A CPA with the federal government for many years, he later owned a small business that alerted residents about potential earthquakes.
Mr. Saffil is survived by his wife Sonia Saffil; daughter Jerrilyn (Bub) Stover; grandchildren Andrea and Amanda; great-grandson Adam; and sister Thelma Replin of Denver.
