Leonid Reyf

Leonid ReyfLeonid Reyf, a prominent attorney in Odessa, Russia, passed away July 11, 2013, in Denver. Rabbi Steven Foster officiated at the July 14 graveside service at Emanuel Cemetery. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.

“Dad was a very educated man,” said his daughter Yana Vishnitsky. “He was passionate, intelligent, and loved life.”

Mr. Reyf was born Dec. 10, 1922, in Odessa, Ukraine. He attended Kiev Ukraine University and practiced law in Odessa.

Mr. Reyf married Rosa Baltser in 1944. She passed away on March 11, 2010.

Upon immigrating to the US in 1982, Mr. Reyf settled in Denver.

A community volunteer, he taught English as a second language and was active at the Allied Jewish Apartments, where he lived.

Mr. Reyf is survived by his daughter Yana (Jim Wolfe) Vishnitsky of Denver and son Alan (Lana) Reyf of Miami, Fla.; grandchildren Vitaly (Jill) Vishnitsky and Jacob and Alexandra Reyf; and great-granddaughter Zoe Rose.
