Laurence Simons

Laurence B. Simons, who was born and raised in Denver, passed away Aug. 14, 2018, in Van Nuys, Calif. The graveside service was held at Mt. Sinai Cemetery in Los Angeles. Mt. Sinai Funeral Home made the arrangements.

Mr. Simons was born May 6, 1927, in Denver.

He graduated East High School and earned a degree in structural engineering from CU.

Mr. Simons served in the US Navy during WW II.

He married Delores Simons, niece of the late IJN publisher Max Goldberg, on June 26, 1951. They were married 67 years.

Mr. Simons worked on major engineering projects at Martin Marietta and other companies.

The Simons, who attended Beth Joseph in Denver, settled in Van Nuys in 1968.

Mr. Simons is survived by his wife Delores Simons; sons Scott Charles Simons and Robert Mark Simons; and four grandchildren.
