Landmark opens; 131 luxury residences

Landmark Luxury ResidenceLandmark Tower 1 opened in May, marking the first stage in the completion of a multidimensional, luxury buidling project in southeast Denver.

The Landmark, with 13 floors, is located at 5455 Landmark Place in Greenwood Village, visible from I-25 between Belleview and Orchard.

Landmark Tower 1 contains 131 residences, one- , two- and three-bedroom units. They are priced from $350,000 to over $1 million.

Under construction across the street is Landmark Tower 2, dubbed the “Meridian,” with 147 residences. It will have 15 floors.

The two high rises are a $240 million development.

Surrounding both new luxury condominiums are a number of new retail stores, “the Village Shops.”

Planned for future construction, adjacent to the towers, is the The European Village of Homes, to consist of seven five-story manor home buildings and 60 Brownstone units.

Denver was viewed as an emerging market for luxury residences by developers Everest Development Co. President and CEO is Zack Davidson. Everest maintains offices in Dallas, Tulsa and Denver. It was founded in 2003.

Davidson completed One Embarcadero South, a $170 million conconimium and retail development next to PacBell Park in San Francisco.

Market research found that “empty nesters” were ready for this kind of new living arrangement. The lifestyle is envisioned by the developers for the residents of the new residences is a “lock and leave” lifestyle.

A special interest of the developers is art. Many original art pieces and antiques fill the public spaces in Landmark Tower 1, and will do so in the Meridian.

Landmark Tower 1 is expected to be fully occupied by the end of the summer.

The Meridian is due to open in January, 2009, with the manor homes and Brownstones to be ready by September, 2009.

Katie Everett and Rike Palese of Classic New Homes Sales are sales managers for the new residences.
