Kollel milestone

The Denver Community Kollel came to Denver 15 years ago with a hard-to-sell agenda: Torah study. For most in the community, this was remote and mysterious. With patience and expertise, the Kollel has made the agenda work.

And when we say “community,” we mean just that. Anyone who attended the 15th annual event of the Kollel this week could plainly see the span of people who have been attracted to the Torah study agenda: the Orthodox and the non-Orthodox, the young and the old, the men and the women.

Consistent with the Kollel agenda, a significant part of the program was a mini-lecture in an intriguing topic of Torah: If one promises to himself to do a favor for a friend, and it later proves to be inconvenient or expensive, was the mental commitment binding?

To the Kollel, its deans, its fellows, its students: May you go from strength to strength.
