Colorado Army National Guard combat medic Joshua Levi Egelman passed away on November 2, 2022, two days shy of his 23rd birthday. A service was held on November 13 at Feldman Mortuary, officiated by Rabbi Birdie Becker. Feldman Mortuary handled the arrangements.

A native of Littleton, Mr. Egelman graduated in 2019 from Heritage High School in Centennial. He then attended the University of Wyoming and Metropolitan State University. In addition to his National Guard duty, he was a certified emergency medical technician and ambulance driver.

“He was a natural adventurer with a deep devotion to others,” his family said. “Josh threw himself headfirst at life’s obstacles, committing himself to being the best he could be.”

Mr. Egelman’s father Joel summarized his son as “the person who runs into the burning building when everyone else is running away.”

Survivors include parents Joel and Jen Egelman; brother Jordan Egelman; grandmothers Cirel Egelman and Caryl Funk, uncles David (Sarah) Egelman and Joel Funk; aunt Jill Guthrie and cousins Ari and Aviva Egelman and Hannah and Cy Guthrie.
