JFS at the JCC: agencies join forces for seniors

Cathy GrimmJFS and Loup JCC are teaming up to provide social, recreational, educational, and health programming to older adults under the new name of JFS at the JCC Colorado Senior Connections.

All programs will all take place at the JCC.

Cathy Grimm, program coordinator and director of Senior Solutions at JFS says:

“This new partnership will take all the programs older adults love at the JCC and will add exciting new programs and resources that will strengthen and bring the community together.”

For example, one of the new services is offering free information about resources in the community such as where to go for help on drug prescription plans, in-home care, volunteer opportunities, transportation services and more.

Older adults will have their questions answered on Monday afternoons.

They also will have an active voice in determining programming and activities.

An advisory committee of participants 60 and older will meet regularly to discuss any and all changes.

Suzi Malman will continue in her role as senior activity coordinator.

Community partners on this program are Rose Medical Center, Allied Jewish Apartments and Shalom Cares.
