Now in its 20th year, this fundraiser benefits all programs of JFS, including mental health counseling, senior and adult in-home care, disability and employment services, and family safety net services.

The event will include a festive party complete with heavy hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, live entertainment, a red-carpet photo opportunity and a chance to socialize with hundreds of JFS supporters.

Following the reception, attendees will enjoy a short program and the award ceremony.

Adam J. Agron is co-managing partner of Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck and was co-chair of the firm’s corporate and business group. He is also a member of the firm’s executive committee.

Agron teaches law at the DU Sturm College of Law and is involved with political campaigns and philanthropic endeavors across the US.

He holds a JD from DU and a BA from CU.

Agron is a board member and counsel for the Denver International Sports and Olympic Bid Committee and council member of AIPAC. He is on the JFS board.

Agron and his wife Katie have two daughters.

“Thank you for this incredible recognition,” he says. “I am honored to be part of an organization that, with compassion and dignity, provides critical resources to those who need it most in our community.”

Andrea Stillman has been volunteering at JFS for the past four years.

She began working in the Weinberg Food Pantry stocking shelves and assisting the clients with their shopping.

As she became more familiar with the agency, she found new ways to put her skills to work.

For two years Stillman helped buy and organize school supplies and backpacks for pantry clients. She researched prices and products so that she could get the best value and stay within budget.

For the past three years, Stillman has played an integral role in the success of the Bright Holidays program, which provides holiday gifts to low-income clients.

She makes sure that clients receive the gifts that are on their wish list and ensures that sizes and items requested match what has been donated.

“Many of them ask for things that they need to live,” she says. “It’s always an eye-opening experience for me.”

Her commitment made it possible to provide 515 individuals with gifts in 2014. Recipients include seniors, single mothers, children and immigrant families.

Stillman has been married to Scott Stillman for 28 years. They have two children.

“JFS reaches out to the whole community — all races, faiths, ethnicities, sexual orientations and ages — and offers so many vital services,” she says.

“I am so proud to be a part of JFS as it makes a real difference in so many lives.”

Co-chairs of Real Hope are Katie Agron, Scott Stillman and Dr. Steven and Debra Weinstein. The committee is currently in formation.
