Michael Sunshine, director of Jewish Student Connection high school clubs at 11 Denver-area schools, believes Jewish teens comprise the most amazing, insightful and promising demographic on the planet. “High school kids are really interested in learning, thinking, and engaging in the world,” Sunshine says in the first-floor conference room at JEWISHcolorado. “Their very thoughtful perspective hinges on two basic questions that perplex all human beings: what is the world about, and what is my role in it?” Jewish Student Connection (JSC) is a catalyst for Jewish teens in public and private schools to learn about their past, present and future in a Jewish context.
