Jerry Lista

Jerry Lista, a Holocaust survivor, passed away March 26, 2017, in Denver. Rabbi Salomon Gruenwald and Cantor Martin Goldstein officiated at the graveside service March 29 at Golden Hill Cemetery. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.

Mr. Lista was born Dec. 8, 1927, in Gora Kalwaria, Poland, near Warsaw.

During the Holocaust, he was deported to two ghettos, six camps and one death camp.

Mr. Lista was liberated from Dachau in 1945.

With the exception of two sisters, his entire family perished in the Holocaust.

Mr. Lista, who came to Denver in 1951, married Judith Lista in 1958.

A supervisor for an accounting firm, he belonged to the HEA.

Mr. Lista is survived by his wife Judith Lista; daughter Sharon L. Sanborn (Dave Torres); grandchildren Logan, Dylan and Cody; and many nieces and nephews in Israel.
