Dr. Jerome Greene

Denver native and US Air Force veteran, Dr. Jerome Greene passed away on January 4, 2023. He was 92. A service was held January 8 at BMH-BJ, officiated by Cantor Martin Goldstein. A celebration of life was held the same day at the New York Deli News. Feldman Mortuary handled the arrangements.

A renowned dentist, Dr. Greene grew up in the West Colfax Sloan’s Lake area and graduated from North High School. Renowned as an outstanding athlete, Dr. Greene played basketball for North High and for the CU Buffs.

Dr. Greene’s CU career was interrupted by a stint in the US Air Force during the Korean War. After his military service Dr. Greene achieved a degree in accounting at CU. He then attended the University of Michigan School of Dentistry.

After originally practicing dentistry in Detroit, Mich., Dr. Greene opened a practice in Denver, where he practiced for over 50 years. He lectured and pioneered nitrous oxide sedation in western US states, and taught at Metro Denver Dental Society and the CU School of Dentistry. He was also a longtime member of the Denver Tech Center Rotary.

In July, 1977, Jerome and Linda Greene were married; they remained a couple until his passing.

“His family is forever grateful for his wise guidance, enthusiasm for life and his love,” his family said.

Survivors are Dr. Greene’s wife Linda; children Jeff (Shay Montgomery) Greene, Eric (Nancy) Greene and Scott (Corrin) Greene; and grandchildren Jordan Greene, McKenna Crenshaw, Colby Crenshaw, Casey Greene, Emily Greene, Andrew Greene and Ben Greene.
