Jeffrey Cersonsky, MD

Dr Jeffrey CersonskyDr. Jeffrey Martin Cersonsky, a Denver native, passed away March 2, 2009, in Oxford, Conn. He was 55.

“He nurtured his children in all their many pursuits and squeezed every drop out of life with great gusto and joy,” the family said. “He thought the best of everybody.”

Dr.  Cersonsky was born May 28, 1953, in Denver to the late H. Sol and Sally Cersonsky. He went to Hill Junior and George Washington High School.

A Phi Beta Kappa graduate from Cornell University, he received his MD from the CU School of Medicine. Dr. Cersonsky treated babies and children for the next 28 years.

Chief resident at Miller Memorial Children’s Hospital at the University of California-Irving, he practiced for five years in Long Beach, Calif., before moving to Oxford in 1987.

Dr. Cersonsky enjoyed playing golf and world-class bridge, cheering the Broncos and traveling the world with his parents and family.

He is survived by his wife Nancy Colasanti Cersonsky; children Emily, James, Rose and Tess Cersonsky; and siblings Steve (Nancy) Cersonsky, Katherine Cersonsky (Michael) Ellman and David (Dora) Cersonsky.
