Jeanette Ackerman Berler passed away Aug. 19, 2009, in San Antonio, Texas. Rabbi Barry H.D. Block officiated at the Aug. 21 graveside service at Beth El Memorial Park in San Antonio. Feldman Mortuary made the local arrangements.
She will be remembered for her dedication to her dear husband, children and grandchildren, the family said. We were her greatest joy.
Mrs. Berler was born Feb. 23, 1926, in Dallas.
She was married for 65 years to Alvin Berler, who predeceased her.
Mrs. Berler, who worked in retail for many years, volunteered a great deal of time to her community.
She is survived by her children Vicki and Ken Pepper; grandchildren Kara and Josh Jacobson, Brett and Kati Pepper and Jean and Francis Pereia; great-grandchildren Yehuda and Devora Jacobson, Sara Pepper and Esther Pereia; and siblings Ed and Helma Ackerman.
Mrs. Berler was predeceased by her son Mack Berler.
