Jacob Gendelman

Jacob Gendelman, originally from Belarus and a Denver resident since 1978, passed away April 22, 2019, in Denver. Rabbi Steven Foster officiated at the April 24 graveside service at Emanuel Cemetery. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.

Mr. Gendelman was born June 15, 1930, in Petrikov, Belarus.

He lived in Belarus; Almata, Kazakstan; and Kharkov, Ukraine before coming to Denver in 1978.

Mr. Gendelman received the prestigious Gold Medal, which is the equivalent of valedictorian, in high school.

He then studied at Kharkhov Polytechnical University.

Mr. Gendelman married Lilia Khokhlova on April 30, 1957.

An electrical engineer, he retired in 2008.

Mr. Gendelman is survived by his wife Lilia Gendelman; sons Edward (Julie) Gendelman and Igor (Masha) Gendelman; and grandchildren Nicole (Garrod Moltz) Gendelman, Jeremy Gendelman, Lauren Gendelman, Eada Gendelman and Sam Gendelman.
