Jack H. Zerobnick, a native Westsider who amassed countless friends throughout our community during his 96 years, passed away Dec. 13, 2018, in Denver. Rabbi Ben Last officiated at the Dec. 14 graveside service at Rose Hill Cemetery. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.

Mr. Zerobnick was born Aug. 7, 1920, on the West Side.

He attended Fairview Elementary, Lake Junior and North High, and worked as a plumber in Honolulu during WW II.

Mr. Zerobnick married Millie Zerobnick on June 24, 1947.

A master plumber, he co-owned Zero Plumbing Co. until his retirement on Feb. 11, 1999.

(When the pipes froze at an IJN staffer’s house on Dec. 25 in the blizzard of ’82, he drove out and immediately fixed the problem.)

Mr. Zerobnick visited cardiac patients with Mended Hearts at Porter Hospital every week for 15 years, and was a board member at Rose Hill Cemetery.

He was an avid golfer, a JCC regular and a proud Shriner and Mason.

Mr. Zerobnick is survived by his wife Millie Zerobnick; and sons Michael and Richard Zerobnick.
