
Rabbi Bruce Dollin officiated at the July 25 graveside service at Rose Hill Cemetery. Shalom Funeral Service made the arrangements.
Mr. Freedman was born in 1928 in Lithuania to the late Rabbi Chaim and Ethel Freedman.
He lived in New Jersey and Kansas City, Mo., where he attended Rabbi Yehuda Bravers yeshiva, the Talmudic Academy of Greater Kansas City.
Mr. Freedman graduated from Central High in Kansas City in 1945 and attended Yeshivas Rabbi Chaim Berlin in Brooklyn, 1945-1946.
From 1946-1948, he served in Alaska with the US Army.
Mr. Freedman moved to Denver in 1958 and met his wife Helene Shur at the JCC singles adult group in 1966.
They were married on Nov. 13, 1966.
Mrs. Freedman passed away in 2009.
In 1973, Mr. Freedman earned an accounting degree from Loretto Heights College.
An accountant for the State of Colorado, he was also a self-employed tax accountant.
He belonged to the Hebrew Educational Alliance and the former Beth Joseph.
Mr. Freedman is survived by his daughter WendySue (Andrew Steinberg) of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren Maxwell, Hayden and Noam; and his brothers Ralph (Tzippie) Freedman of Denver and Len (Phyllis) Freedman of Jerusalem, Israel.
He was predeceased by his son Myles in 2001 and his daughter Karyn in 2005.
