Looks like the weather gods got confused with this one.
By now its abundantly clear that the Denver-Boulder metro area is having a white Purim, with an abundant amount of fresh and very heavy snowfall. So before you head out to attend one of the many Purim events planned for this years holiday celebration, check to make sure its still happening.
The IJN Facebook page is keeping track of changes we hear of; if you know of an event thats been canceled or postponed, post it in a comment via the Facebook post.
And nevertheless, a joyous (and safe) Purim to all!
Here are the changes we know about so far:
- Hebrew Educational Alliance will have megillah tonight; party postponed until 3/24.
- Rodef Shalom megillah tonight canceled; will join with BMH BJ Congregation
- Congregation Har HaShem megillah tonight canceled.
- Perpetually Perplexed Purim Players shpiel tonight is canceled.
- Flatiron Tribe has canceled tonight’s Purim PJ party.
- Temple Shalom (Colo. Spgs.) megillah tonight canceled.
- Congregation Beth Evergreen (CBE) party rescheduled for 3/25.
- Mt. Sinai in Cheyenne postponed for 3/24.
- Temple Sinai postponed for 3/24.
Megillah readings are still scheduled as normal for tonight at EDOS, Aish Denver, DAT Minyan, Chabad, BMH-BJ, Zera Abraham, HEA.
