Irma Strear

Funeral services for Irma Strear, native and lifelong resident of Denver, were held Dec. 4, 2017 at Emanuel Cemetery. Rabbis Joe Black and Steven Foster officiated at services for Mrs. Strear who passed away Dec. 1.  Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.

Born in Denver on May 10, 1931, Mrs. Strear was a graduate of North High School and married Leonard Strear on Oct. 8, 1950. A homemaker, she was active with Temple Emanuel and its Sisterhood and volunteered for Rose Hospital and the Art Students League.

“Irma expressed her passions, whimsy and creativity through her creations of art, especially sculpture, collections of art and gardening,” Mrs. Strear’s family said. “She was beautiful inside and out and was accepting of all people.

“Friends and family will remember Irma as funny, loving and an avid Denver sports fan. One of her favorite pastimes was to be with her family at Grand Lake.”
