Howard Rosenberg

Howard Gilbert Rosenberg, a professional career development counselor, passed away Aug. 17, 2021 in Denver. Funeral services, with Rabbi Joseph Black officiating, took place Aug. 20 at Rose Hill Cemetery. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.

Mr. Rosenberg was a native of Atlanta, born Aug. 28, 1945. Throughout his life he resided in Atlanta, Rindge, NH, Boulder and Denver. He earned a Bachelor’s in Psychology and Masters in Counseling at Georgia State University and a PhD in Counseling from the University of Colorado.

He married the former Marci Milzer on Nov. 27, 1999.

Mr. Rosenberg worked for 26 years at CU’s Office of Career Services, eight years at DU’s Daniels College of Business as a career consultant, and 11 years as a career consultant for Lee Hecht Harrison. He worked until 10 weeks before his passing.

He was a member of the Colorado Career Development Assn. and the National Career Development Assn. and had served as president of the Colorado Counselors Assn.

“Howard wanted to be remembered as a good person, hard working and kind,” his family wrote, “and as someone who helped people to find and enjoy their career path.”

Mr. Rosenberg is survived by his wife Marci Rosenberg of Denver; stepdaughters Lisa Thomas of Denver and Robyn Winkelstein of Summerlin, Nev.; his sister Delores Gang of Atlanta; and grandchildren Sammy Thomas, Jack Thomas, Gabriel Winkelstein and Ruby Winkelstein.
