Honoring the babies who never experienced life

Sarah Leah Golombek, eight months pregnant with her second child, was sitting at her office desk when she realized she wasn’t feeling any movement of the baby she was carrying. A visit to her doctor revealed the devastating news that the baby had died in Sarah’s womb. The date was June 7, 2010. The following day, June 8, Golombek delivered a stillborn daughter. In a state of shock, Sarah and her husband Yaneev held their baby, whom they had named Atarah, for about an hour. Through their tears, they remarked how much Atarah looked like their two-year-old son Ami.
