Homer Goodman

Homer Goodman, an honored WW II veteran, passed away March 24, 2017, in Denver. Cantor Joel Lichterman officiated at the March 28 graveside service at Mt. Nebo Cemetery. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.

Mr. Goodman was born June 3, 1925, in Denver.

He attended college for two years.

Mr. Goodman served with the 418th Bombardment Squadron, 100th Bombardment Group (H) in WW II.

A waist-gunner in B-17s, he successfully completed 29 missions over enemy-occupied Europe and was accepted into the Aviation Cadet training program.

Mr. Goodman received the Air Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters for his service.

He married Marietta “Mae” Goodman on June 15, 1946.

Mrs. Goodman passed away on Oct. 12, 2006.

A bar owner and professional real estate broker, he was a member of Columbine Lodge #147.

Mr. Goodman is survived by his children Rick (Sandy) Goodman, Steve (Frieda) Goodman and Deani Goodman McKenney; grandchildren Kelli, Justin and Morissa; great-grandchild Kyden; sisters-in-law Sandy (Ted) Pomeranz and Joyce Wagner; and his extended family.
