Herbert M. Bronstein, a native Denverite and an acclaimed director of communications for many well-known museums, passed away Feb. 14, 2011, on the Upper East Side of New York City.
The stories he told enriched the lives of his family and friends, who celebrate his memory and deeply mourn his loss, the family said.
Mr. Bronstein was born April 4, 1921, in Denver to Louis and Sarah Aaron Bronstein, a prominent couple in the Jewish community.
After graduating from CU, Mr. Bronstein served four years in the European theater of operations during WW II.
Passionate about arts and literature, he had a distinguished career as the director of public relations for the Museum of Modern Art before moving on to the Museum of Primitive Art, the Jewish Museum and the Brooklyn Museum.
He was a beloved brother, uncle and friend.
