Henry Tannen, a Denver resident since 1953, passed away Feb. 16, 2009, in Denver. He was 95.
Rabbi Steven Foster officiated at the graveside service at Emanuel Cemetery. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.
Born in 1913 in Germany, Mr. Tannen was a graduate chemist in the food canning industry.
In 1935, he and his future wife Hilde Stern joined the Zionist pioneer movement in Palestine.
The couple immigrated to Argentina in 1938.
In 1953, they settled in Denver with their son.
Mr. Tannen became a career employee with Friedman Paper Co., retiring in 1998.
He loved the outdoors and the arts.
Mrs. Tannen predeceased her husband.
Mr. Tannen is survived by his son Dr. Richard (Bette) Tannen; grandchildren Ann-Moree (Charles) Warren and David (Jennifer) Tannen; and sisters-in-law Edith Kern and Gretel (James) Trent.
