Helen Pailet

Helen PailetHelen Pailet, 91, passed away Jan. 12, 2012, in Denver. Rabbi Steven Kaye officiated at the Jan. 15 graveside service at Emanuel Cemetery. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.

“Helen overcame many hardships in her life, including the death of son Alan,” the family said. “She was a realist and dealt with life in a courageous manner.”

Born on Sept. 9, 1920, in Chicago, she moved to New Orleans with her husband Ellis Pailet in 1955.

Although she was considered a Yankee, she learned to love that unique city.

Seven years ago, following the death of her husband, Mrs. Pailet moved to Denver to be close to her family.

She loved her friends, family, coffee, art, books and traveling.

Her fun sense of humor made her a favorite with her grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Pailet is survived by her son Bob (Cindy) Pailet; grandchildren Dave and Molly; sisters-in-law Bess Saliman and Shirley Frisch; daughter-in-law Janet Rosenblatt; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son Alan Pailet.
