Funeral services for Helen Dansky, a longtime Denverite who worked as a teacher, took place Oct. 10 at Mt. Nebo Cemetery.
Rabbis Bruce Dollin and Salomon Gruenwald and Cantor Marty Goldstein officiated at services for Mrs. Dansky who passed away in Denver on Oct. 7, 2016. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.
Mrs. Dansky, a native of New York, was born March 19, 1933 and lived in that city until the age of four, spending the rest of her life in Denver.
She was educated at East High School, Northwestern University in Illinois and the University of Colorado at Boulder. She taught for 25 years at Westminster Hills Elementary in Adams County and also taught English as a Second Language to Russian immigrants for the Jewish Family & Children’s Service in Denver in the 1970s and 1980s. She retired on June 1, 1997.
“She was a beloved mother and Grammy to her four children and five grandchildren,” her family said. “We miss her dearly.”
Mrs. Dansky is survived by her daughters Jerrie Dansky, Theresa Dansky and Rebecca Delisi; son and daughter-in-law David and Vicki Dansky; and grandchildren Seth Delisi, Wesley and Jessica Friednash and Elizabeth and Olivia Dansky.
