H. James (Jim) Leibson, 58, a longtime member of Temple Sinais Torah study group, passed away July 16, 2008, in Denver. Burial took place in Riverside Cemetery in New Jersey. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.
A memorial service was held for Mr. Leibson at Temple Sinai.
Mr. Leibson was born Oct. 31, 1949, in Rockville Centre, NY. He received a BS from Rutgers University.
Following graduation, he traveled the country and made his home in Denver.
During his tenure at National Jewish Hospital, Mr. Leibson worked in immunology research.
He then worked at TIAA CREF advising investors about pension products.
The unofficial rabbi at many singles events in Denver, he knew the correct prayers and enjoyed discussing the history of the Jewish people.
He also relished leading holiday dinners and imparting lessons in Judaism to those seated at the table.
Mr. Leibson belonged to Temple Sinais Shabbat morning Torah study group for many years. He looked forward to the weekly discussions led by Rabbi Raymond Zwerin and frequently contributed his own insights.
He was a longtime member of Temple Sinai.
Jim will be dearly missed, said his friends and family.
Mr. Leibson is survived by his sister, Carol (Barry) Beyer; nieces Jamie (David) Feit and Karen Beyer; and four great-nieces.
