Goldie Bloom

Goldie BloomGoldie Rena Bloom passed away peacefully on Feb. 24, 2016, in Silver Spring, MD. She was 96. Rabbi Steven Kaye officiated at the Feb. 28 graveside service at Mt. Nebo Cemetery. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.

““Goldie was a force of nature, always interested in anything new,”” the family said.

“”Creative and artistic, she was dedicated to her family and her communities. She cared for people and assisted everyone who needed her help.””

Mrs. Bloom had children Jean Labe (Ron) Steinberg and L. Jay (Bev) Labe during her first marriage to Louis A. Labe.

Her second marriage to Sam Bloom brought stepdaughter Barbara Bloom (Bob Rossman) into the family.

Mrs. Bloom’’s marriage to Oscar Gross ushered stepson Steven (Lea) Gross and their children into the family.

Goldie Bloom is survived by her children Jean Labe (Ron) Steinberg and L. Jay (Bev) Labe and stepchildren Barbara (Bob Rossman) Bloom and Steven (Lea) Gross; grandchildren Lauren (Howard) Levy, Jody (Matt) Brown, Brooke Storey, Nicole (Kevin) Mullowney, Ben (Marissa) Gross, Molly (Sharon) Peled and Danny Gross; and great-grandchildren Allan Levy, Robyn Levy, Danica Brown, Ben Sunshine, Jack Sunshine, Dylan Mullowney and Ethan Mullowney.
