Glory Ellen Singer Green (Mighty Mite), a Denver native, passed away Dec. 29, 2011, at her home in Georgetown, Texas. She was 75.
The service was held Dec. 30 at Temple Emanuel Cemetery in Houston.
Glory had a busy social life no matter where she was, and will be greatly missed by all the groups she was involved in, the family said.
Glory Singer was born Feb. 14, 1936, in Denver to the late Samuel and Faye Singer. She was the older sister to her brother Irvin (now deceased) and sister Janey.
She attended public school in Denver, graduated from North Denver High in 1953 and earned an MRS from CU.
In November of 1967 she met Martin Stuart Green. They were married on June 7, 1969, and moved to Dallas, Texas.
Mrs. Green held several administrative positions, but her favorite was working as a personal assistant to J. Livingston Kosberg and then Russ Robinson of Houston.
She was a regular volunteer at Congregation Havurah Shalom in Georgetown.
In addition to playing golf, bridge and mah jongg, Mrs. Green lifted weights for over 20 years. She also was very fond of her dogs Buddy and Maisy.
Mrs. Green is survived by her husband Marty Green; daughters Lynn Adrienne (Edward) Doescher of Webster, NY, and Debbie Sue Green of Houston; stepchildren Cindy Marsac and Mitchell (Julie) Green; sister Janey (Larry) Posner; and grandchildren Trey Doescher, Justin Doescher, Alyssa Green and Jake Marsac.
