This new Raptor brings to the team a love of sports, boundless enthusiasm and a smile that can light up an entire stadium. And he’s only 12 years old. Koby Gruenwald, an impressive, courageous sixth grader at Denver Jewish Day School, is battling brain cancer. He is the son of Rabbi Salomon and Melanie Gruenwald, and the brother of twins Hannah and Micah. Since his diagnosis and surgery in March, 2016, Koby has made remarkable progress toward his recovery.
