Mrs. Gladys Nacht, a longtime Denver resident, passed away Sept. 1, 2009, at her home in Denver. Rabbi Bernard Gerson officiated at the Sept. 3 graveside service at Emanuel Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Feldman Mortuary.
Daughter Debbie Kupetz also spoke at the service.
She will be remembered for her kindness and thoughtfulness to family, friends and neighbors, and will be greatly missed, the family said.
Mrs. Nacht was born in 1931 in Illinois, where she was raised.
She earned her nursing degree at Barnes Hospital School of Nursing at Washington University in St. Louis.
Mrs. Nacht initially lived in Colorado Springs, where she was a nurse and an active member of the Jewish community.
She then obtained her dental hygienist degree from Southern Illinois Universitys School of Dental Hygiene.
Mrs. Nacht moved to Denver in 1970 and worked as a dental hygienist for many years.
She returned to nursing at St. Joseph Hospitals Mother-Baby Unit until her retirement.
Mrs. Nacht was an active member of Rodef Shalom.
She is survived by her children Deborah (Mark) Kupetz of Israel, Daniel (Dana Spade) Nacht and Stefani (Geurmantes) Lailari; brother Robert Wiseman and sister Frances Tennis; grandchildren Asher (Dikla), Yitzchak (Revital), Malka, Chana, Nechama, Pinchas, Noa, Bryna and Avraham Kupetz, Aliza, Natan and Zeev Lailari; and three great-grandchildren.
