a few days, when Rabbi Bernard Gerson walks away from the Rodef Shalom pulpit for the last time, a quarter century of rabbinical leadership in Denver will come to an end. And a new era for one of Denver’s most beloved rabbis will begin. While Gerson is retiring from his rabbinical responsibilities, and while he certainly will be missed in that capacity — as a Rodef Shalom tribute dinner in May made very plain — he is embarking on a new career in health care management that he hopes will not only fulfill him, but keep him in reasonably good stead with the Divine authority he has spent his whole life serving.
