Gary Hoskins
Denver native Gary Hoskins died on March 22, 2023, at the age of 81. A memorial service is planned for May 3 at Temple Sinai. Feldman Mortuary is handling the arrangements.
Mr. Hoskins was born on Oct. 1, 1941, at Fitzsimmons General Hospital. He attended Aurora High School (now Aurora Central) and Western State College, before working at United Banks in Denver, where he managed mergers and acquisitions. He later worked at Norwest, and retired in 1998 when Norwest became Wells Fargo.
Mr. Hoskins married Liz Botkin in October, 1975. Mrs. Hoskins died in 2018.
Mr. Hoskins’ family said, “His humor never faltered, finding a joke for every encounter. He carried small bouncy balls in his pocket when he went to the store just in case he came across a child who might enjoy a magic trick.
“He found a way of making friends in the most unlikely of places — particularly at gas stations or parking lots.”
Survivors are children Amanda (Ari) Perlstein and Alison (John) Hoskins-Kelly; and grandchildren Maya and Aidan Perlstein and Oscar and Wendy Kelly.
