Who would have thought in 1999 that Generations magazine would cover age anxieties of baby boomers? or the soothing effects of yoga (people need it)? or the rising importance of hospice? (also needed) or fishing (a Jewish return to another form of calming)?
Yet, since theyre all in this years Generations, is the world changing too fast to cope? Has it just been a tough year with the economy? Or is the search for elixirs as old as history itself? Whatever . . . we still know how to celebrate. We pursue everything from baseball fantasies to the quintessential Jewish (er, Chinese) mah-jongg, to hockey, rugby, martial arts, photography.
