returned to the Temple Sinai choir after a hiatus for a historic milestone Sunday, Jan. 19 — the first time a synagogue would host the Greater Denver Ministerial Alliance’s Martin Luther King, Jr. tribute. We gathered in Sinai’s sanctuary with the Absolute Word Church choir, our partners in song, an hour-and-a-half prior to the event and rehearsed before an audience of 10 to 15 early arrivals. The musical part of the program showcased “Heal Us Now,” “We Shall Overcome” “We are the World,” “I Need You to Survive” by David Frazier, “Freedom” by Eddie James and “Better Days are Coming” by An’dria Johnson.
