Eunice M. Mann, recipient of many awards for her merchandising, gifts and designs, passed away Dec. 23, 2009, in Aurora. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.
The memorial service will be held February 7, 1 p.m., at 8000 E. Girard Ave, Apt. 603. Rabbi Steven Kaye will officiate.
Mrs. Mann was born May 4, 1918, in the Bronx, NY. She lived in the Bronx and Massapequa, NY, before moving to Denver in 1976.
She attended Adelphi University, where she received a BFA degree.
On Aug. 16, 1941, she married Samuel A. Mann.
Mrs. Mann drove a Red Cross ambulance on the East Coast while her husband served overseas in WW II.
A licensed real estate broker, Mrs. Mann worked in her husbands real estate company, Mann Realty, from 1948-1975 in Massapequa.
During this period she also was a professional seamstress, clothing designer, interior decorator and noted painter.
While in Massapequa, Mrs. Mann was an officer in Bnai Brith and Hadassah.
The couple moved to Denver because of Mrs. Manns asthma.
Owner of the shop Gifts Galore, she won several national awards for her merchandising, gifts and decorative accessories. The Rocky Mountain News and Denver Post both wrote articles about her achievements.
She retired in 1993.
A wonderful athlete, Mrs. Mann played golf and tennis, swam, was an ice skater, rode horses and enjoyed motor biking.
The Manns traveled to Europe, Istanbul, Israel, Greece, London and Amsterdam, and enjoyed going on cruises.
Mrs. Mann is survived by her husband Samuel A. Mann; children Millard F. Mann and Deborah Mann; and granddaughter Alexandra.
Contributions may be made to the State of Israel, the Denver Zoo or the Alzheimers Association, Colorado chapter.
