Estelle Knaster

Estelle KnasterEstelle Knaster, a lifelong Denver resident, passed away Jan. 13, 2016, in Denver. Rabbis Richard Rheins and Bruce Dollin and Cantor Martin Goldstein officiated at the Jan. 15 graveside service at Rose Hill Cemetery. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.

““Our mom had a heart of gold,”” the family said.

Mrs. Knaster was born March 21, 1929, in Denver. She graduated East High and attended DU for one year.

In 1948, she married Sam Knaster. Mr. Knaster passed away on March 31, 2008.

An employee at the Rose Gift Shop for 25 years, Mrs. Knaster also assisted her husband in his business.

Mrs. Knaster is survived by her children Cary (Gloria) Knaster, Sherry (Sherman) Sedgwick, Barry (Mindy) Knaster, Ellie Fiest and Michelle (Mike) Malone; grandchildren Matthew, Ben, Justin, Loren (Laura), Brandon, Adam, Rachel, Sallie and Meghan; and sister Bobbi (Linda) Furer.
