Estelle Handler, the best friend of her late husband Michael Handler, passed away Aug. 13, 2012, in Centennial. A private service was held. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.
She was an entrepreneur, businesswoman and world traveler.
Mrs. Handler was born May 25, 1917, in the Bronx, NY. She graduated high school and attended Hunter College in New York City for one year.
She married Michael Handler on Oct. 31, 1937.
The couple moved to Denver in 1951.
Mrs. Handler was the former owner of Michael Handler Carpets-Draperies Inc.
Mr. Handler passed away in February, 2009.
Mrs. Handler is survived by her children Alice (Scott) Alban of Denver and Herbert (Phyllis) Handler of Denver; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
