Eleanor Hailpern

Eleanor “Etty” Hailpern, a native Denverite and life-long resident, passed away Dec. 29, 2017, in Denver. Rabbis Yaakov Meyer and Michoel Fleischman officiated at the Dec. 31 graveside service at Rose Hill Cemetery. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.

“She was fabulously magnificent,” the family said. “Her smile was amazing and contagious.”

Mrs. Hailpern was born April 16, 1936, in Denver to the late Abe and Anna Weiner.

She went to Colfax Elementary, Lake Junior and North High School, and attended CU-Boulder.

Etty married Moses “Moish” Hailpern on August 3, 1958.

A domestic engineer, Mrs. Hailpern worked in sales at Weiner Bros. Electric.

She also was the guest service ambassador with the Colorado Rockies.

Etty Hailpern is survived by her husband Moses “Moish” Hailpern; children Kevin (Debbie Gordon-Hailpern) Hailpern, Kerry (Michele) Hailpern, Ricky Hailpern and Robbie Hailpern; brother Randy (Debbie) Weiner; grandchildren Gordy, Kacie (Eddie), Alexis, Mathew, Daniel and Mitchell; and many nieces, cousins and friends.
