Eleanor Eisen

Eleanor EisenEleanor Jane Eisen, a longtime resident of Denver, passed away Nov. 24, 2009, in Denver. Rabbi Steven Foster officiated at the Nov. 27 service held at Temple Emanuel. Interment followed at Emanuel Cemetery. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.

“Elly was a quiet soul whose strength and courage inspired those who knew her,” the family said. “She will be sorely missed by her loving family and devoted friends. She was a blessing to us all.”

Mrs. Eisen was born May 22, 1933, in New York, NY.

She attended East High School, graduated from Randall High and went to Bradford Junior College.

On Aug. 23, 1951, she married Charles (Chuck) Eisen.

She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Eisen is survived by her husband Chuck Eisen of Denver; brother Bud (Patti) Rittenberg of Englewood; children Nancy (Craig) Steele of Centennial, Judy Goldstein of Denver and Bob (Jodi) Eisen of Englewood; and grandchildren Dylan Steele of Denver, Laura Steele of Missoula, Mont., Elliot Eisen of Englewood and Averi Eisen of Englewood.
