Eileen Goldstein

Eileen Rich Goldstein, a lifelong resident and top saleswoman at several of Denver’s leading clothing stores, passed away Jan. 5, 2021, in Denver. Rabbis Steven Foster and Bruce Dollin and Cantor Martin Goldstein officiated at the private Jan. 7 service at the HEA.

Burial followed at Rose Hill Cemetery. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.

Mrs. Goldstein was born July 26, 1926, in Denver to Rebecca and Charles Rich. She graduated North High School.

While ice-skating at Sloans Lake, she met the love of her life Martin Goldstein. They were married for 73 years. Mr. Goldstein passed away in June, 2019.

Mrs. Goldstein worked at Buckley Air Field as a young woman.

She then worked part time for her sister and brother-in-law (Shirley and Jack Barton) at Kacey Furniture.

Once her children were grown, Mrs. Goldstein decided she wanted a career in retail.

Briefly at Chez Marie, Mrs. Goldstein became a top salesperson in the children’s department at Fashion Bar.

A salesperson at Neusteters’ Cinderella City store for over 11 years, she then worked at Montaldos in Marina Square and downtown, and Auers in Cherry Creek.

When the Cherry Creek Mall opened, Saks Fifth Avenue immediately hired Mrs. Goldstein, who worked there until retiring in 2003.

“She enjoyed people, fashion and life,” her family said. “She kept in touch with many of her clients, who became friends.”

Mrs. Goldstein is survived by children Steven (Debbie) and Charles Goldstein; siblings Dr. Ruth Rich, Shirley Barton, Gerald Rich, Robert (Joanna) Rich, Kenneth (Beverly) Rich, and Sheila (John) DiNardo; grandchildren Travis, Ashley, Charlie and Samantha; six great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law Sandy.

She was predeceased by her son Ronald Goldstein
