Edith Senft

Edith SenftEdith Senft, who escaped Vienna and lived in Shanghai during WW II, passed away Nov. 26, 2011, in Denver. She was buried in Zichron Yaakov, Israel. Feldman Mortuary made the local arrangements.

Mrs. Senft was born March 7, 1924, in Vienna, Austria.

In 1939, she fled with her parents to Shanghai, China, where she worked for the US Army.

The China Service Command honored her with the Award of the Emblem for Civilian Service.

Mrs. Senft moved to Israel in 1950 and arrived in Denver in 1963.

She married Herman Senft in 1963. He passed away in February, 2006.

Mrs. Senft worked for Samsonite Luggage in Denver.

She is survived by her niece Frida (David) Galante of Israel.
