since Israel and Bahrain announced the opening of diplomatic relations between their two nations 10 days ago, Ebrahim Dahood Nonoo, the informal leader of Bahrain’s miniscule Jewish community, has been a busy man indeed. He has conducted as many interviews with media as he can schedule, unfailingly projecting an upbeat and informed perspective on the diplomatic breakthrough. He has also done a yeoman’s job in illuminating reporters on the subject of Bahraini Jewry, a community which, it’s probably fair to say, most know very little about, if they even knew of its existence at all.
