Dudye Lillian Krauss, a native Denverite, passed away Feb. 18, 2009, in Millbrae, Calif. A memorial service was held Feb. 22 at Peninsula Temple Sholom in Burlingame, Calif.
She was the epitome of an extremely loving, kind and giving person, her family said. Hers was a life well-lived.
Dudye Finer was born Nov. 30, 1912, in Denver, to Jacob and Fannie Finer. She was the youngest of 13 children.
Married to Herbert Phillips from 1934-1944, she was widowed and the mother of three at age of 31.
She married Norman Krauss in 1947 and lived in San Francisco. The couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1997.
After Normans death, Dudye lived with her daughter Linda for her remaining years.
Mrs. Krauss is survived by her children Nancy Rosenthal, Donald Krauss, Linda Diller and Penny Berman; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her son Rick.
