Dr. Jeffrey S. Siegel, a Denver native, died of brain cancer Aug. 28, 2008, in California. He was 49.
Services were held at Pacific View Cemetery in Newport Beach, Calif.
Dr. Siegel was born May 4, 1959, in Denver. He graduated from George Washington High in 1977.
He received his undergraduate degree at Washington University in St. Louis, graduated from podiatry school in San Francisco and interned at Rose Medical Center.
Dr. Siegel married Sheila Ettinger, also from Denver, in 1982.
He established his podiatry practice, Advanced Foot Comfort, in Long Beach, Calif.
Dr. Siegel was a founding member of Surf City Synagogue, the first Conservative synagogue in Huntington Beach, Calif.
His interests and hobbies included religious studies, international politics, performing arts, cycling, gardening and collecting Israeli coins.
Dr. Siegel is survived by his wife Sheila Siegel of Huntington Beach; children Heather and Julia Siegel of Huntington Beach; parents Carol (Melvin) Beitscher of Newport Beach; and sister Felicia Siegel of Denver.
He was predeceased by his father Harold Siegel of Denver.
