Dorothy Replin, a former Denver resident, passed away July 9, 2016, in Tavernier, Fla. Allen-Beyer Funeral Home made the arrangements.
Mrs. Replin was born April 28, 1917, in Houston, Texas.
She graduated the University of Texas-Austin with a bachelor’s degree in zoology and was a member of Delta Phi Epsilon.
On May 14, 1941, she married Henry Replin in Houston. They were together for 63 years. Mr. Replin passed away in 2003.
Mrs. Replin worked as a teacher and in retail, eventually retiring from the Denver Dry Goods Co.
Elected Miss Blue Bonnet Belle, Mrs. Replin also lived in Los Angeles, Calif.
An avid bridge player, she loved to dance — and “her dance card was always full,” the family said.
Mrs. Replin is survived by two children, Chloe (Bernard) Shwayder of Key Largo, Fla., and Sam (Leslie) Replin of Bend, Ore.
Daughter Frances (Tom) Flaherty predeceased her in 2013, as did sisters Rosalie Joseph and Gertrude Lewis, nephews Fred Lewis and Jerry Korklin and niece Abby Replin.
