Dorothy Pearl Grossfeld of Apex, NC, passed away Sept. 6, 2014, at WakeMed Cary Hospital in Cary, NC. She was 86. The graveside service was held Sept. 10 at Raleigh Hebrew Cemetery in Raleigh.
Mrs. Grossfeld was born July 6, 1928, in Minerville, NY, to Herman and Rae Kronovit.
She was married to Jerry Grossfeld for 67 years.
A volunteer for the American Heart Association in Denver for at least 10 years, Mrs. Grossfeld loved dogs, knitting, reading, baking, and most of all her children.
Mrs. Grossfeld is survived by her husband Jerry Grossfeld of Apex, NC; children Fred (Katherine) Grossfeld of Cary, NC, Dr. Paul (Susan) Grossfeld of San Diego, Calif., and Brenda Grossfeld of Denver; and grandchildren Nathan and Leigh Grossfeld and Stefan Grossfeld.
